Beautiful young ladies were named new Rayne Frog Festival honorees on Saturday, Oct. 27, during the 2012 Frog Festival Queen’s Pageants. The annual events were again held at the Rayne Civic Center.
Crowned the 2012 Rayne Frog Festival Queen was Brittney Celeste Reed, 23-year-old daughter of Todd and Kelly Reed of Erath. She entered the pageant repesenting the City of Erath and was sponsored for the pageant by Bayou State Marine and Industrial Supply.
Brittney was crowned by last year’s honoree, Kelsey Primeaux and presented her awards by Frog Festival Committee member Angie Broussard and Mayor Jim Petitjean.
The new 2012 Rayne Teen Frog Festival Queen is Victoria Blaise Richard, 14-year-old daughter of Sean and Holly Richard of Rayne. The Rayne High freshman was presented her crown by the 2011 honoree, Ashlee Guilbeau, and her awards by Rayne Frog Festival Association Committee member Nikki Link and Mayor Jim Petitjean.

Joining new Frog Festival Queen Brittney Reed on her court were:
1st Maid and Acadia Parish's representative to the Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Pageant was Macy Boudreaux, 19-year-old daughter of Mark and Crystal Boudreaux of Breaux Bridge. She will also assume the crown should the queen be unable to complete her reign. She was sponsored by Crawfish Town USA for the pageant
2nd Maid was Lindsey LeBlanc, 18-year-old daughter of Tammy and David LeBlanc of Rayne. She was sponsored for the pageant by LeBlanc Trailer Sales of Rayne.
Brittany Nicole Desormeaux was named Miss Congeniality, an award voted upon by the contestants. She is the 18-year-old daughter of Tina and Tony Desormeaux of Delcambre.
The final contestant for the pageant was Adriana Louise Matte, 18-year-old daughter of Keith and Mendy Matte of Rayne. She represented the City of Rayne as the outgoing Miss Rayne.
Special guests in attendance for the pageant were former title holders, including Brooke Henry 2001, Sarah Mouton (2009) and Deborah Pettee (1987).
Teen Frog Festival Queen
Prior to the crowning of Victoria Blaise Richard as the new 2012 Teen Rayne Frog Festival Queen, her court was named and included:
Teen 1st Maid was Dalaney Clay Dumatrait, 15-year-old daughter of Chad and Connie Dumatrait of Breaux Bridge. She is a sophomore at Breaux Bridge High School.
Stacy Reneé Knott was named Teen 2nd Maid. She is the 15-year-old daughter of Marius and Margaret Knott of Arnaudville. She is a sophomore at Cecilia High School.
Teen 3rd Maid was Jillian Blair Johnson, 15-year-old daughter of Lisa and Kevin Johnson of Eunice. She is a freshman at Eunice High School.
Presented the Teen Miss Congeniality medallion was Chelsea Morgan Noel, 16-year-old daughter of Daniel and Rosalyn Noel of Lafayette. She is a junior at Lafayette High School.
The newly crowned 2011-12 Miss Rayne, Taylor Hollier, welcomed everyone to the City of Rayne and presented a special invitation to attend the 2012 Frog Festival this November. Hope to see you there.Also in attendance were approximately 100 visiting queens from throughout the state, each representing her fair and festival.
Honored during the pageant was the newly named 2012 Frog Festival Grand Marshal, Roy Credeur. He was presented a special keepsake by RFFA committee member Nikki Link.
