Rayne—Funeral services for Alyssa Blaire Gibson, 20, of Rayne will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne. Father Kendal Faulk will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Alyssa passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 1:00 A.M. as the result injuries received in an automobile accident.

A lifelong resident of Rayne, Alyssa attended Rayne High School. At the time of her passing, she was attending online classes through University of Phoenix. Alyssa has a very artistic nature, and was founder, owner, and operator of b.blaire, Inc., for which she was a graphic designer.

Alyssa will be greatly missed by many people, including her daughter, Aubree Jade Gabriel of Rayne; significant other, Patrick Gabriel of Rayne; parents, Jeanne and Derek Gibson of Rayne; step-father, Romel Charles of Rayne; sisters, Dana Rochon of Rayne, Amy Young and husband, Raphael of Fairburn, GA, and Ashley Gruenau and husband, Matthew of Lithia Springs, FL; brother, Romy Gibson of Rayne; and her closest friend, Celie Dunagan of Lafayette. Alyssa is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding Alyssa in death were her maternal grandparents, Mary and Lawrence Rochon; and paternal grandparents, Irene and Anthony Gibson, Sr.

Serving as pallbearers are Raphael Young, Matthew Gruenau, Josh Gibson, Jeremy Gibson, Justin Gibson, and Dane Rochon. Named as honorary pallbearers are Romy Gibson, Cory Rochon, Ashton Rochon, Laderria Charles, and Chad Gibson.
