Mire - Funeral services will be held at Assumption of the BVM Catholic Church, Mire, LA, Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for Lorida Mae Mire Delhomme, 65, who died a peaceful death surrounded by her family Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at her residence in Mire, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who always put her family first.

Interment will be in the Assumption of the BVM Cemetery, Mire, LA.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years Nathan Manuel Joseph Delhomme Sr. of Mire, one son, Nathan "Nicky" Manuel Joseph Delhomme Jr. and wife Lisa of Youngsville, one daughter, Monyca Delhomme Dupuis of Rayne, four grandchildren, Owen Delhomme, Dustin, Kyle, and Mallorey Dupuis, three sisters, Elaine Mire Menard and husband William of Mire, Darlene Mire Miller and husband Ron of Mire, Vickie Mire Pennell and husband Tom of Erie, Pennsylvania, one brother, Clyde Joseph Mire, Jr. and Wife Theresa of Mire

She was preceded in death by her twin sons, parents, Clyde Mire Sr. and Lula Mae Dugas Mire.

She was a deli manager for Albertsons in Lafayette, and enjoyed spending time with her family and bingo with friends. Was a very devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

A rosary will be recited Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA.

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until service Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
