The Rayne High wrestling team hosted the 2012 David Jennings-Anthony McCrory-Jason Petitjean Memorial Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Rayne HIgh north gym.
As announced by head coach John Chevalier, the Wolves finished the day at 4-1 in a two-way tie for second place with Basile.
Taking top honors among eight teams was behind St. Louis. North Vermilion finished fourth, followed by Kaplan, Church Point, Teurlings and Lafayette.
Rayne was 4-0 in pool play over Basile, Kaplan and Lafayette. St. Louis finished 4-0 in their pool over North Vermilion, Church Point and Teurlings.
Undefeated Rayne High wrestlers were:
Bobby Cormier, 3-0 at 106 pounds; Eric Comeaux, 3-0 at 113 pounds; Landyn Thibodeaux, 4-0 at 132 pounds; Austin Bohne, 4-0 at 152 pounds; Brennan McKNight, 4-0 at 285 pounds.

The Rayne Wrestling Team hosted North Vermilion on Thursday, Dec. 6, at the RHS north gym.
The Wolves scored 45 points compared to North Vermilion’s 30 for a win.
