Vet of three wars, coach, School Board member

RAYNE – Services for airborne veteran of three wars and former West Point coach and Acadia School Board member Rodney Trahan, Sr. will be Thursday. He died Dec. 10 at age 84.

He was an 82nd Airborne Division of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a coach in the U.S. Miltiary Academy Athletic Department while assigned to the Academy during his military career. He taught at Rayne High, ULL and Mire Elementary and was on the School Hoard 12 years. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife Janice, two sons and three daughters.

Arrangements are by Gossen.

Minister, professor

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Services for minister and college professor Dr. Hilliard Comeaux will be Saturday. He died Nov. 26 at age 82.

He was a Church of Christ minister in Lake Charles and Baton Rouge before earning his Ph.D. and teaching 16 years at Minnesota Bible College. After retiring, he served at part-time minister to First Christian Church of Crowley, La. for a dozen years.

Survivors include his wife Shirley, a son and a daughter.
