ABBEVILLE – A three-time loser has been sentenced to life in prison for selling cocaine.

Assistant District Attorney F. Stanton Hardee, III prosecuted Tyrone Mitchell, 41, of Abbeville as a third time convicted felon for selling cocaine.

Mitchell sold cocaine near the intersection of South Miles and Felicity Street in 2010. He had been convicted previously of distribution of cocaine in 1993, 1998, and on July 18, 2012.

Last week, Mitchell received the mandatory sentence under the law of imprisonment at hard labor for his natural life without parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

Judge Edward Broussard sentenced him.
