Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. for Mildred G. Guidry, 81 who died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at her home in Rayne.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are two daughters; Jennie Higginbotham and husband Larry Gass of Duson and Peggy Trahan and husband Paul of Sunset ; seven sons, Richard Guidry and wife Barbara of Many, Terry Guidry of Rayne, John H. Guidry, Jr. of Rayne, Mark Guidry and wife Lisa of Rayne, David Guidry and wife Tessa of Rayne, Tom Guidry and wife Renee of San Antonio, TX, and Ronnie Guidry of Duson;18 Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren; and one brother, Wilson Guidry and wife Letie; and her pet companion Brownie and Bella.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Guidry, Sr.; and her parents Ulysse and Aldophina Caillier Guidry; one son, Randy Guidry; one grandson, Philip Guidry; one great grandson Hayden Alleman; and one brother Lloyd Guidry and his wife Beula.

She was born Monday, July 12, 1931 in Rayne, LA, Daughter of the late Ulysse Guidry and the late Aldophina Caillier Guidry.

Friends will be received From 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 8, until 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA.
