Rayne High’s Jale Williams and a number of other Acadia Parish football players were noted among 3A All-State picks following the 2012 season as announced by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.

The lone Wolf named to the squad was running back Jalen Williams noted among honorable mention selections. Rayne High’s 2012 leading rusher finished the season with 1,320 yards on 188 carries. He turned in 16 touchdowns in addition to four receptions for 74 yards and a TD.

Williams helped the Wolves wrap up a regional round showing in the state playoffs.

Three Notre Dame starters were named to first-team selections from the state runner-up Pios.

On offense, offensive lineman Andrew Valdetero and running back Luke Broussard were both named to he offensive squad, while linebacker Kipp Credeur held a slot on defensive picks.

Pio Gavin Bourgeois was also named in Notre Dame picks, defensive back in honorable mention picks.
