Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. for Flossie Hains Thomas, 101, who died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at her residence in Rayne, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are one son, Charles E. Thomas, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, one sister, Janet Hains Lewis of Rayne, two grandsons, Charles E. Thomas III and Joseph Eugene Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Thomas, Sr., one son, Albert L. Thomas, one granddaughter, Heather R. Thomas, parents, Albert Hains and Emily Richard Hains, two sisters, Verde Andrus and Sara Bryson, two brothers, Patrick Hains and James H. Hains.

She was born Wednesday, February 8, 1911 in Rayne, LA, Daughter of the late Albert Hains and the late Emily Richard Hains.

She worked as a Operator for Western Union.

A rosary will be recited Friday, January 11, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA

Friends will be received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Friday, January 11, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m..
