UPDATED INFORMATION FOR CROWLEY RESIDENTS: Crowley mayor Greg Jones tells us the rising water in the area is a result of Bayou Plaquemine from the Mermentau rising.

Crowley has sandbags for residents to self-fill until 3 today, or until sand is gone, at the city's barn on Jack Mitchell road off of Hwy 90.

Also, CLECO is shutting off power to residents on Rue Aline for fear that it will short out or create a dangerous situation. It is unsure how long power will be shut off.
