The focus of this combined effort of fundraising is to provide for the needs of this area’s small portion of the world through the efforts of the Community Outreach Corporation and the Crowley Christian Care Center.
These organizations fit together like the pieces of a beautiful puzzle and together they invite you to join them in a “caring way” as they present their very own version of “Dancing with the Stars.”
The charity fundraising gala is being co-chaired by Emily Stoma and Mary Zaunbrecher. Brenda Core of The Core Dance Center is the chairwoman of the choreography team that has also generously donated their time and talent. Troy Breaux will act as financial chairman as well as the silent auction chairman.
The inaugural event will feature 11 couples, the “Stars of Acadiana.” Each week a new couple will be introduced to the public.
Dancing with the Stars is proud to announce the fifth couple and their choreographer selected to participate in this year’s gala.
Dr. P. Dale Leleux: Dr. P. Dale Leleux is self-employed, owning his own private practices in Acadia and Vermilion parishes. He also works part-time at LSU as part of the faculty in his field of practice. He is vice president of the Board of Directors of American Legion Hospital. He is married to Christine and is the father of Patrick III, Christopher and Catherine Leleux.
Ali Leleux: Ali Leleux is the mother of Madelynn and Alex Lebouef. She is the owner of Madelynn Brooks Salon, Spa and Boutique. Ali Leleux is a past high school cheerleader and still shares this passion as Crowley High’s cheerleaders sponsor.
The choreographer for Dr. P. Dale Leleux and Ali Leleux is Brittanie Scroggs. Scroggs is a senior at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, double majoring in business management and performing arts with a concentration in dance. Her training includes the Ballet Studio of Lafayette, American Ballet Theater, Ohio Dance Theater, Louisville Ballet and workshops with Finis Jhung and Bill Hastings. She is currently an instructor at Core Dance Center in Crowley. Scroggs has performed in several of UL’s State of La Danse and An Evening of Dance performances. She has also received scholarships to Broadway Dance Center as well as Blue Lake Fine Arts.
