About 6:35 a.m. on March 13, deputies say that Zachary Paul Mounce, 27, of 3568 Olive St. died when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a utility pole and flipped, Casey Rayborn Hicks said in a press release.
Mounce was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s office.
Authorities believe speed played a factor in the fatal crash.
Investigators are awaiting toxicology results.
