Michelle Elise Cormier and Steven Michael Murphy will be united as husband and wife during a 6 p.m. ceremony on July 19, 2008. The wedding will take place at the Sunny Meadow Wedding Facility in Scott with Rt. Reverend Jimmy Broussard of Crowley.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Russell and Gwen Cormier of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Doris Richard of Crowley and the late Offord Richard of Lyons Point and Wallace and Earline Cormier, also of Crowley.

Michelle is a 2007 graduate of Crowley High School and a 2007 graduate of Acadiana Career College at Lafayette were she earned a degree in dental assistance.

The groom-elect is the son of Wendell and Donna Murphy of Crowley. He is the grandson of Edwin and Rose Clement of Morse and Sammy Jo Tucker of Jennings and the late Carl Murphy of Branch.

Steven is a 2005 graduate of Crowley High School and a 2007 graduate of Louisiana State University at Eunice. He is currently attending McNeese State University were he is pursuing a degree in radiology.

After the wedding the couple will reside in Lake Charles.
