State Police said Monday that a driver headed the wrong way on Interstate 10 caused a June 22 collision near Crowley that killed three persons.

Troop I investigators determined that Joseph Garreck, 67, of Houston was traveling east in the west-bound lanes when he struck a pickup truck driven by Corey Stelly, 26, of Jennings at the Highway 91 interchange.

Garreck, Stelly and Eronia Dickens, 47, of Houston, were killed in the accident.

Alcohol is suspected to have been a contributing factor in this crash; blood was obtained and submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
