During the month of June, officers responded to 1012 calls for service. Of these calls, 82 adults were arrested and 11 juveniles have been charged with criminal activity. That averages out to an arrest being made for every 10.8 calls for service.
The department also investigated 48 traffic accidents during the month, with 13 of the accidents occurring on private property such as parking lots. “Our accidents are down this month. We normally average 60 per month or 2 accidents per day. This month we are down to 1.25 accidents per day. The reduction is attributed to cracking down on violations which have been the cause of the majority of accidents. Those violations include speeding, disobeying stop signs / traffic signals & improper lane usage” stated Chief Gibson.

For disturbing the peace, 10 people were arrested.
For possession of stolen property, two people were arrested.
For theft, seven people were arrested.
For criminal damage to property, six people were arrested.
For narcotics, 21 people were arrested.
For warrants, 24 people were arrested.
For traffic violations, six people were arrested.
For burglary, three people were arrested.
For battery, seven people were arrested.
For armed robbery, two people were arrested.
For other criminal charges, four people were arrested.
