EBR Sheriff's Office looking for two men from Zachary for attempted murder

According to a press release issued last week from Casey Rayborn Hicks, spokeswoman for East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, detectives are looking for  two men from Zachary: Alvester Singleton Jr., 27, 18733 Samuels Road, for three counts principle to attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated 2nd degree battery and criminal damage to property and Chadrick Ledon Carter, 33, 21930 Samuels Road, for three counts principle to attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated 2nd degree battery and criminal damage to property.

On September 29, EBRSO arrested Kedrick Singleton, 32, and booked him on three counts of attempted 1st degree murder, aggravated 2nd degree battery, criminal damage to property, illegal use of weapons, felon in possession of a firearm.

Detectives also arrested Thomas L. Wright, 29, on October 1, and booked him on three counts principle attempted 1st degree murder, principle to aggravated 2nd degree battery and criminal damage to property.

According to reports, Wright, A. Singleton, K. Singleton, and Carter had an altercation with another man at approximately 5:30 p.m. at Stevenson’s Quick Pack on East Flonacher Road on September 28.

Upon arrival, A. Singleton, K. Singleton and Carter allegedly entered the business and beat the victim with pool sticks. They then allegedly smashed the victim’s vehicle windows, windshield and headlights. K. Singleton allegedly fired shots before leaving the premises, but no one was hit.

Carter and A. Singleton allegedly fled the scene in a purple Oldsmobile Delta 88. Wright and K. Singleton allegedly fled in an older model blue Oldsmobile. The victim also fled and re-encountered the suspects again at a nearby intersection. As he approached the intersection, K. Singleton allegedly exited the Oldsmobile and fired at the victim a second time, again no one was hit.

The victim told detectives that the altercation was due to a fight he had with the suspects the previous week during a neighborhood basketball game.
