The engagement of Miss Cassandra Marie Ardoin to Mr. Jeremy L. Richard, the son of Larry and Arline Richard of Ville Platte, has been announced by her parents, Larry and Nora Ardoin of Vidrine.

The couple will exchange wedding vows Saturday, November 15, 2008, during a private 4 p.m. ceremony. A reception will follow at the Northside Civic Center.

Miss Ardoin, whose mother is the former Nora Marie Tezeno, is the granddaughter of the late E.L. and Mary Ardoin.

A 2003 graduate of Vidrine High School, she received an associate degree in accounting from Louisiana Technical College in 2005. She is currently employed as a business specialist with AT&T in Lafayette.

Mr. Richard’s mother is the former Arline Marie Britten. He is the grandson of Lucius and Lovenia Richard of Ville Platte.

A 2003 graduate of Ville Platte High School, he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from McNeese State University in 2007. He is currently employed as a counselor with New Way of Southwest.
