The Chamber Education Committee is thrilled to announce that the Greater Abbeville-Vermilion Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for a $750 scholarship. The scholarship is offered to deserving chamber members, employees of members, and/or their children to further their post-secondary education. Our hope is that this scholarship will encourage the recipients to excel as future business leaders and participate in the Greater Abbeville-Vermilion Chamber of Commerce and give back to the community.

The recipient of the scholarship will be selected based on participation and leadership in school activities and work experience; response to an essay question; economic need; and academic achievement. In addition to being affiliated with the Chamber, the applicant must be pursuing post-secondary education at either a two-year or four-year educational or vocational institution; and the applicant must have completed at least one semester at the post-secondary educational institution with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. Applications will be accepted on or before Friday, November 14, 2008.
