CROWLEY – Twenty area residents had an extra special Thanksgiving thanks to the Crowley Post-Signal’s annual Turkey Contest. The contest is sponsored each year by the Post-Signal and area Crowley merchants. Each winner received a $15 gift certificate to purchase their turkey at one of several grocery stores.

Bobbie Chambers of Crowley was the winner at Cuccio’s Food Mart. Jessica Virella of Crowley won a turkey from Park Avenue Cleaners. Vanessa Felix of Crowley was the winner at Credit Merchandise Rental Purchase. Ella Kidder of Crowley won a turkey from Don Shetler.

Elaine Guilbeaux of Rayne was the winner at OUPAC Financial Services. Thad Mire of Crowley won a turkey from Super Foods. John O’Donnell of Crowley was the winner at Shetler-Corley Motors. John Herpin of Morse won a turkey from The Evangeline Bank and Trust Company.

Sheree Schexnayder of Crowley was the winner at Bordelon’s Home Furnishings. Geraldine Viator of Crowley won a turkey from 1st Franklin Financial. Ronald Boullion of Crowley was the winner from LaGrange Food Mart. Irvin Schexnider of Estherwood won a turkey from L&M Tire Co.

David J. Roy of Crowley was the winner at Bank of Commerce and Trust Company. Lillian Yokum of Crowley won a turkey from Aurora Flowers and Gifts. Geneva Grogan of Crowley was the winner at Cash America Finance. Verna Henderson of Crowley won a turkey from Maxie’s Paint and Body Shop.
