(Editor’s Note: The following article was submitted by Monica Alagad, resident activity director at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte. This column runs every Sunday in The Gazette.)

Let me start by saying we at Heritage Manor, residents and staff, would like to wish everyone a wonderful, safe and blessed holiday season.

Recently, Heritage Manor held a raffle to benefit resident activities. The event was a big success and we would like thank everyone who bought a ticket and those who helped to sell them. The raffle winners were Donna Fredrick, first place, who won a two-burner stove donated by Ace Hardware. Janet Manuel, second place, won a turkey fryer donated by Relay for Life. Ricky Charlie, third place, won a $25 Wal-Mart gift card donated by Wal-Mart.

Heritage Manor will be holding another raffle for two huge Christmas stockings, one for a boy and one for a girl. Your help will, once again, be greatly appreciated. Anyone wishing to buy or help sell tickets can contact the activity department for more information.

Bingo sponsors for this week are Blake’s Family Pharmacy, Eastin Pharmacy, Quality Medical Care, VVA and the Sacred Heart Interact Club.

Thank you again for your support. God bless you.
