State Police continue to investigate an accident that killed Daniel Fuselier, 61, of Eunice.

Fuselier, not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle he was driving when it left La. 97 about 5 p.m. Friday.

According to police, Fuselier and a passenger, Kelli Robin, also of Eunice, were northbound on La. 97 near its intersection with La. 368 south of Basile.

The vehicle, for an unknown reason, drove off the right side of the roadway. Fuselier, police said, then steered left back on the roadway, causing the vehicle to spin and overturn, ejecting the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Acadia Parish Coroner’s office.

Robin, investigators said, received minor injuries.
