A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, January 06, 2009, at 2:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church for Alayiah Nicole LeJeune, 13, who died Saturday, January 03, 2008. Burial to follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Father Tim Richard officiating.

Alayiah was a student at A. J. Aleman Academy in Lafayette and a former student at Broussard Middle School where she was a cheerleader, in the school band, Jr. Beta, and Step Team. She was in the Nutcracker play at the Lafayette Ballet Theater and also a dance student at Gerami’s Academy of Fine Arts for eleven years and loved to sing.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Al and Pamela Deville of Broussard; her father, Kenneth Gardiner of New Iberia; two brothers, Kendall LeJeune of Houston, TX, Alex Deville of Broussard; a sister, Alyssa Deville of Broussard; maternal grandparents, Gilton and Carrie LeJeune of Eunice.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, LeRoy and Theresa Gardiner and step paternal grandfather, Turlind “Coach” Deville.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Monday, January 05, 2009 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice from 11:00 am until time of services on Tuesday, January 06, 2009. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Monday evening.
