IOTA-A Celebration of Life will be Celebrated on Wednesday, January 07, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Iota for Elroy Pousson, 79, who died on Monday, January 5, 2009. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery with the Reverend Father Mikel Polson officiating.

Mr. Pousson was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He served in the United States Navy, was a member of Woodmen of the World and was active in the American Legion for many years.

     He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Edna L. Pousson of Iota; four sons, Glenn Pousson, Lynn Pousson, Tommy Pousson, all of Iota, and Kevin Pousson of Port Barre; three daughters, Karen Manuel and 18 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Alcide Pousson; mother, Madie Fontenot; son, Charles Dwayne Pousson; two sisters, Elta Fontenot and Ella Mae Wriborg; and one granddaughter, Penny Pousson.

     The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, January 06, 2008 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Wednesday, January 07, 2008 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Tuesday evening.
