A Kaplan man, who had worked for HIDCO for 11 years, was accidentally killed last week when the truck he was working on accidentally rolled on him, killing him instantly.

Earl Bernard, 64, was changing the brakes on his truck when the truck moved.

Larry Landry, owner and CEO of HIDCO, broke the news to Bernard’s wife,Venola, by driving to her house.

The two had been married for 40 years.
