RAYNE – Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. for Vercy Lee Richard, 84 who died Saturday, January 10, 2009.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2.

Surviving are son, Robert “Bob” Lee Richard of Lafayette; son, John Richard of Lafayette; son, Michael Roy Richard of Arnaudville; daughter, Joann John of Woodlands, Texas; daughter, Becky Menard of Rayne; daughter, Amy LaCroix of Rayne; daughter, Kathryn Gautreaux of Rayne; 15 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and sister, Willie Mae Doucet of Opelousas.

She was preceded in death by her brother Marion Bihm..

She was born Saturday, September 6, 1924 in Lawtell, the daughter of the late Alfred Bihm and the late Celeste Frutell.

Friends were received 12 p.m. until 9 p.m., Monday, January 12 and will continue from 8 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday January 13, 2009 at the Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
