Interment followed at All Saints Mausoleum.
A native and resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Dugas passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Dugas was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being at home spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband of 55 years Willis Dugas Sr. of Loreauville; her children, Willis Dugas Jr. and his wife Dewanna of New Iberia, Darleen Vaughn and her husband Lenny of Loreauville, Glenn Dugas and his wife Missy of New Iberia, Carmen Poirier and her husband Tommy of New Iberia, and Kim Dugas and his wife Nikki of St. Martinville; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Rebert of Loreauville; and three sisters, Vernise Louviere of Loreauville, Sadie Mae Breaux of New Iberia and Amelie Broussard of Morgan City. She is also survived by JoAnn Thibodeaux Davis and Diane Thibodeaux Carlson, who she took into her home as her own children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Cora Decuir Rebert; her son, Dale Dugas Sr.; one granddaughter, Gracie Boutte; five brothers, Elmo, Oswald, Ivry, Solen and Jobert Rebert; three sisters, Julia Courville, Ella Mae Louviere and her twin Mable Thibodeaux. She was also preceded in death by Edward Mouton, who she also took into her home as her own child.
Pallbearers were Todd Dugas, Scott Dugas, Lenny Vaughn, Dale Dugas Jr., Rick Bonin and Timothy Carlson.
Honorary pallbearers were Dru Dugas, Ty Dugas and Hunter Dugas.
