The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robin Kibodeaux and Scott Duhon, both of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Myrtle Kidodeaux of Crowley, Wayne Kibodeaux of Egan, Bettie Duhon of Crowley and the late Julian Duhon.
The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Simon of Robert’s Cove. He is the grandson of William and Betty Simon and the late Thomas and Jackie Ohlenforst, all of Robert’s Cove.
Serving as hostesses were Michelle LeBlanc, Brenda LaFleur, Jazalyn Aube, Jessica Ancelet, Amy Hanks and Kyla LeBlanc.
The honoree was presented with a corsage consisting of multiple red roses wrapped with baby’s breath and ribbon, while the mother’s were each given a corsage made-up of a single red rose accented with baby’s breath.
The LeBlanc home was beautifully decorated with coordinating “Valentine’s Day” decor including hearts, balloons and ribbons.
Guests were treated to a variety of delicious refreshments of assorted sandwiches, dips, vegetable and fruit trays, punch and an array of desserts including the shower cake.
The party accommodated approximately 50 guests traveling from Mandeville, Church Point, Baton Rouge and Youngsville.
Honored as special guests were the grandmothers of the couple. Myrtle Kibodeaux, maternal grandmother of the bride-to-be; Bettie Duhon, paternal grandmother of the bride-to-be; and Betty Simon, paternal grandmother of the groom-elect.
The couple has plans to wed during a 3 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Crowley. Rt. Reverend Jimmy Broussard will officiate the exchanging of their nuptial vows.
Following the wedding the newlyweds will reside at Mountain Home Airforce Base in Idaho.
