Gerald and Barbara Soileau celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February at the home of Wayne and Debbie Mouch in Addis, Louisiana. The party was hosted by their four daughters and spouses, Debbie and Wayne Mouch, Charlene and Jerry Bolton, Carlene and Randy Moore and Jennifer and Mike Hillman. Following a session with a professional photographer, the family was treated to a catered dinner and anniversary cake.

They have six grandchildren. On hand were Justin LeBlanc, Hunter Mouch, Austin Hillman and Audrey Hillman. Unable to attend were Nicole Mouch and Carly Jackson.

The Soileau's were married February 7, 1959 at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church in Opelousas, Louisiana. She is the former Barbara Johnson of Opelousas.
