The Mamou girls dropped a 7-4 game to Port Barre Thursday. Cydni James suffered the loss for the Lady Demons in the circle.

Port Barre went up 2-0 in the first inning and that score remained until the fourth frame. Three straight doubles and a single helped Port Barre go up 6-0.

Mamou got a run in the fifth inning and added three more runs in the sixth block. James pushed two runs home with a double. A single from Kristie Soileau pushed James home. The rally ended before Mamou could tie the game.
