GRAND PRAIRIE - Funeral services were held for Theresa Soileau, 76, of Ville Platte, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Grand Prairie at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 7. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
A loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ms. Soileau died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Ville Platte Medical Center.
Survivors include three sons, James “Jimmy” Soileau and his wife, Cheryl, and Robert Soileau, all of Ville Platte, and Louis Soileau and his wife, Libby, of Gismar; two daughters, Beverly S. Johnson and her husband, Dale, of Turkey Creek and Helen S. Dupre and her husband, Randell, of Gismar; one brother, Beb Vidrine of Port Barre; three sisters, Anna Belle Deville of Mamou, Dean Fontenot of Chataignier and Mary Ann Vidrine of Ville Platte; 17 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenis Soileau; her parents, Alfred and Elizabeth Vidrine; and one great-grandchild, Andrew Lee Johnson.
Father Melancon officiated.

Funeral services will be held for Carrie Simon, 81, of Ville Platte, at Ninth Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., today, April 9. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
