CROWLEY – In preparation for the 2009 Regular Legislative Session, the Crowley Chamber of Commerce, the Rayne Chamber of Commerce, and the Jeff Davis Business Alliance will be hosting the seventeenth Annual Legislative Breakfast. The breakfast is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, at 7 a.m., at the Ballroom of Crowley, 124 East Third Street. Remarks from area Legislators will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a question and answer session. Senator Nick Gautreaux, Senator Dan Morrish, Representative Mickey Guillory, Representative John Guinn and Representative Jack Montoucet have been invited to speak at the event. The upcoming regular session is slated to begin April 27.

“With so many important issues facing our state, I encourage local business people to take advantage of this opportunity to voice their concerns and questions to our legislators,” stated Crowley Chamber President and CEO Kayla Link. The breakfast is being held at no charge to Chamber members in Acadia and Jeff Davis Parishes thanks in part to the support of CLECO and the Ballroom of Crowley.

Those planning to attend the Legislative Breakfast are asked to make reservations by calling the Crowley Chamber office at 788-0177.
