Four people suffered serious injuries in a midday collision between a tan Ford Thunderbird and a dark gray Mazda near the intersection of Hwy. 90 and 8th St. Sunday afternoon. A car driven by Gene Gauthreaux apparently crossed the center line and struck a car driven by Lauren Daigle. The four injured people were transported to American Legion Hospital by Acadian Ambulance. Police are awaiting lab results to see if alcohol played a role in the accident.
