Jennifer Lee Guidry of Crowley will become the wife of David Ward Scheufens, also of Crowley, during a 7 p.m. ceremony on Friday, July 17, 2009.Reverend Jimmy Broussard will officiate the exchanging of their wedding vows at Sunny Meade in Scott.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sandra Menard Guidry and Kenneth Lee Guidry, both of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of the late Whitney and Joyce Reese Menard and the late Geneus and Leah Guidry.

Jennifer is a graduate of Notre Dame High School. She attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe where she pursued a bachelor of science degree in clinical laboratory science. She is currently employed with the American Legion Hospital in Crowley as a laboratory scientist.

The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Scheufens of Crowley. He is the grandson of Estelle Boudreaux Scheufens and the late Theodor Scheufens and the late C.W. Guthrey and Lavonne Humble Guthrey.

David is a graduate of Crowley High School and University of Southwest Louisiana. He is currently employed with Louisiana Farm Bureau Insurance.

Following the wedding the couple will reside in Crowley.
