Crowley PD continues battle in war on drugs

Narcotics agents remain busy entering the Rice Festival weekend. agents with the Crowley Police Department have arrested four more persons involved in the illegal drug industry which plagues our community. After conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of drug activity, a passenger fled from the vehicle with packages in his hands. Officers gave chase to the suspect as he fled into a wooded area off the I-10 on ramp (exit 80). As officers caught up with the suspect, he began to resisting officers by striking them. The suspect was taken into custody after the resistance was ended.

Officers recovered 57 Alprazolam pills from the fleeing suspect, as well as recovered just over two pounds of marijuana. Arrested were:

Samuel Lewis, 23, Crowley: possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute alprazolam, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and battery of a police officer.

Brandon Sinegal, 26, Crowley: possession with the intent to distribute marijuana

Jordan Andrus, 18, Crowley: possession with the intent to distribute marijuana

Ashley Miranda, 21, Lake Charles: possession with the intent to distribute marijuana

All parties were booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
