ABBEVILLE—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Ricky Dale Dietz, Jr., 25, who died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Abbeville General Hospital from an accidental drug overdose.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Robert Wells officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Ricky Dietz, Sr., Terry Dietz, Alfredo Bell, Jeffrey Carver, Sr., Jeremy Graham and Nelson Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffrey Carver, Jr. and Briana Dietz. He is survived by his father Ricky Dietz, Sr.; mother Ada Carver and husband Jeffrey; two brothers, Terry Dietz and girlfriend, Felicia Duhon, and Jeffrey Carver, Jr.; two nieces, Briana and Annie Dietz; and his close friends, Alfredo Bell and Nelson Campbell, all of Abbeville.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Freddie and Florence Dietz of Iota and Donald Frederick and Annie LeBlanc.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday, from 8 a.m. until time of services.
