125 years

Saturday, March 6, 2010 the Crowley Post-Signal will celebrate it’s 125th year in publication.

In honor of these 125 years the Post-Signal will be running a promotion through the month of March with $125 cold hard cash up for grabs. At the end of March a drawing will be held for the cash from among new subscribers and renewals through the month. All new and renewed subscriptions during the month will be eligible.

As an added attraction, throughout the month random drawings will be held with current subscribers eligible to win free classified ads and free laminating services.

Stay tuned for a special advertisement later this week.

Leo and Anna

Wow, what a presentation Leo Honeycutt put on Saturday at the Grand Opera House of the South. The author of the popular Edwin Edwards book was in the former governor’s hometown where he literally outlined Edwards’ life from his early years in Marksville to the governor’s mansion.

Honeycutt was accompanied by Anna, the governor’s oldest child who was born and raised right here in Crowley.

Besides the great presentation it was also nice to visit with them as they signed hundreds of copies of the book.
