The Gents lost to Class 5A’s No. 2 ranked Barbe, 10-2, Sunday and No. 13 West Monroe, 18-3, Thursday.
Houston Christian, ranked No. 14 nationally, logged an 18-8 victory over the Gents Saturday.
Crowley’s lone victory was over Class AA power Evangel, who beat Barbe Saturday in extra innings.
The Gents logged 10 hits in the contest to claim an 11-6 victory over the Eagles.
Justin Desselle led the Gents power surge with a 3-for-4 performance that included a towering three-run home run in the fourth inning. He also singled in two runs in the first inning.
Tyler Dupuis was 2-4 and also had a home run, a two-run shot in the second inning. Taylor Bertrand and Chad Hoffpauir each had one hit and one RBI while Jake Trahan, Steven Bertrand and Taylor Doughty each had one hit.
The Gents collected 29 hits in four games. Desselle led the way with six hits and six RBI while Dupuis had five hits and two RBI. Brian Broussard collected four hits, including a home run and two RBI; Chad Hoffpauir had three hits and one RBI; Jake Trahan had two hits, including a home run and three RBI; Taylor Bertrand had two hits and two RBI; Brody Deshotel, Steven Bertrand and Taylor Doughty each had two hits and Kaleb Cormier had one.
Crowley will return to action this weekend when they play in the North Vermilion Tournament in Leroy.
