VP Eight-under All-Stars make history at Regional Championship

At the Pony Regional Championship in St. Amant, the Ville Platte Eight-under All-Stars made history by taking down the top seed and holding on to win the event. They beat the top-seeded Lake Charles Knockouts 11-6 and then fought their way through the winner’s bracket. They met the Knockouts again in the championship and pulled out a 12-11 victory. “The level of play that our girls put out was unbelievable,” said Head Coach Jesse Fontenot. “They never gave up even when we were behind in a couple of games. They just kept fighting and wanting to win.”
