CHATAIGNIER - The Chataignier Village Council discussed applying for a sewer grant during its meeting Monday, August 18.
Joining municipalities across the parish, the Chataignier Council agreed to apply for a $25,000 grant to fund the renovation and upgrade of the village’s sewer system through LGAP (Louisiana Government Assistance Program).
The council also appointed its parade chairwoman for its annual Christmas parade. Linda Helen Thomas, who has organized the parade for the last several years, was selected to lead the parade festivities once again. No date has been set for the parade at this time.
