Abbeville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Daleand Joseph Mouton, 63, was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008 at St.Anne’s Catholic Church in Cow Island, with Father Randy Morrow officiating.
A native of Kaplan and resident of Abbeville, Mr. Mouton passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 3:15 a.m. at the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings, Louisiana.
He was a retired off-shore crane operator. He was a Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam Conflict.
Mr. Mouton is survived by one daughter, Denise Mouton of Abbeville; two sons, Rayburn Mouton and Daleand Mouton II, both of Abbeville; five grandsons, Drake and Hayes Abshire, both of Abbeville, Austin Mouton of Breaux Bridge, and Trevor and Hunter Mouton, both of Kaplan; two granddaughters, Tyra and Ashton Mouton, both of Breaux Bridge; and one brother, O’Neal Mouton and wife, Shirley of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loveless and Verna Herrington Mouton.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marshall Hebert, Donald Miller, Nicholas Mouton, Chris Mouton, Byron Mouton, and Neil Mouton.
