Kaplan—Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Dallas John Meaux, 81, who died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at his residence.
He was be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Richard Wagner officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elrita H. Meaux of Kaplan; one son, Dwayne Landry of Kaplan; one brother, Hurbie Meaux of Kaplan; two grandchildren, Amy Landry of Lafayette and Blake Landry of Kaplan; and one great grandson, Brody Landry of Kaplan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovey Meaux and the former Lula Bourque; and two brothers, Wilfred and Norris Meaux.
