Funeral services will be held at a 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at St. Theresa the Child of Jesus for Jason Thomas Guidry, Jr., 34, who passed away on Friday, September 19, 2008.
Reverend Louis Richard, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Interment will take place in St Paul’s Cemetery in Abbeville.
Jason, a resident of Scott, was the son of the late Jason Thomas Guidry, Sr of Erath and the former Theresa Richard of Abbeville.
He was a DJ known as “Iceman”. Throughout his time of playing music, he taught many his trade. He loved music, technology, work, electronics and most of all, his family. He was known by many as a Jack of all trades.
He is survived by parents, Jason, Sr. and Theresa Guidry of Abbeville; his wife, Tara Guidry, of Lafayette; one son, Grant Michael Guidry of Lafayette; one sister, Beverly Soley and her husband, Byron of Abbeville; two nieces, Madison and Emma Soley of Abbeville; and one nephew, Andrew Soley of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eddie Guidry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 am until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Edwin Lewis, Shane Primeaux, Keith French, Daniel Marchand, Dalton Curtis, David Smith, Neil Trahan and Paul Duhon.
