The incident occurred Wednesday, September 3, when a fight began between several individuals, which led to one man being chased inside his residence. The group attacked the bystander inside his home. The man was able to pull a knife out and get the group off of him after stabbing one person in the shoulder and another in the leg.
Bertrand was charged with simple battery and unauthorized entry in this case. His bond was set at $15,000 by 13th Judicial District Judge John Larry Vidrine.
