Angelle was selected to attend the conference based on her 4.0 GPA she obtained from K-8th grade while a student at Mt. Carmel Elementary.
National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) is a four day leadership conference for high achieving 8th and 9th graders. The many activities that Angelle participated in while at the conference were designed to enhance her existing leadership skills while challenging her to acquire new skills for leadership. One of the educational goals of NYLSC is to provide the students with lessons in leadership to bring back to their school and community.
