Officers were called out to a local business in response to an attempted armed robbery. The suspect was described as an unknown male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a mask, and brandishing a black, long-barreled gun. Suspect ran from the establishment before gaining anything. A few minutes later, officers received another call of an armed robbery from another local business with a suspect fitting the same description.
The next evening, while on patrol, officers noticed a subject fitting the description of the suspect walking around one of the victim business. The subject was detained, and brought in.
After being questioned, it was learned that the subject, who was identified as Brandon C. LeBlanc, white male, 19, of Morse, was in fact, the suspect who had committed both crimes.
LeBlanc was arrested on one count of Armed Robbery and one count of Attempted Armed Robbery, with bond set at $150,000 total. LeBlanc was booked into the Acadia Parish Detention Facility.
