Cecilia – Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Myrtle Jones Joseph, 75, who passed away on Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Amelia Manor in Lafayette.

Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.

She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary and St. Anne Society at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Survivors include her son, Tadara “TD” Joseph of Cecilia; her daughters, Perry Joseph of Lafayette and Mrs. Raymond (Scarlette) St. Julian of New Caney, Texas; her brothers, Polite Jones Jr. of Parks and Lawrence Cormier of Houston, Texas; her sisters, Mary Jane Jones of Breaux Bridge, MaeOla Cormier Hypolite of Houston, and Theresa Randall of St. Martinville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Joseph; her son, Danny J. Joseph; her sisters, Mildred G. Journet and Bertha C. Williams; and her brothers, Robert Jones and Horace Cormier Sr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m Saturday.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday.
