Amber Marie Broussard of Kaplan and Jeremy Michael Doucet of Lafayette will be united in marriage on December 27, 2008, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kaplan.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Jude Broussard of Kaplan. She is the grand daughter of Ms. Jeanell Broussard and the late Mr. Lifton Broussard of Kaplan and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parlow, Sr. of Morgan City. She is a graduate of Kaplan High School. She is employed by her parents at Gallagher’s Cafe’ and Catering.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Michael Doucet of Lafayette. He is the grand son of Mr. Calsey Doucet and the late Mrs. Helen Doucet of Scott and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ire Pete Smith of Opelousas. He is a graduate of Teurlings Catholic High School. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
