The body of Jules Mallery Jr. was found near a west St. Martinville oil field on Nov. 20 near a month-old crime scene. The St. Martin Sheriff's Office reported that autopsy results confirmed suspicions that it was indeed Mallery's body that was found.
Mallery was wanted by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office in connection with an incident that occurred on Oct. 19 whereby two victims were kidnapped and sexually assaulted at gunpoint.
One of the two victims suffered a gun shot wound and was subsequently hospitalized.
The autopsy report revealed that the cause of death of Mallery was a self -inflicted gunshot wound.
