BATON ROUGE — For the fourth consecutive year, Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) is offering grants to communities committed to reducing litter in their jurisdictions. Keep Louisiana Beautiful will award up to $15,000 per entity to eligible applicants who are 501c3 nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and affiliates and pre-certified affiliates of Keep America Beautiful. The electronic application deadline for interested organizations is February 6, and all grants will be awarded on or before February 27. Recipients must complete all projects and work related to the grant by December 31.

Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for funding consideration:

•Demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting the mission of KLB; and



•Demonstrate the provision of a valuable service to the community in which it serves.

Extra points will be given to those that:

•Provide documentation that the program will be sustained after Keep Louisiana Beautiful funding ends;

•Can demonstrate they have applied for or receive funds from other sources and do not rely solely on funding from KLB;

•Are certified affiliates in “good standing” with Keep America Beautiful, or are pre-certified and working on full certification.

To expedite grant turnaround, only electronic applications will be accepted. Proposals must be emailed to Melanie-Peck_klb@cox.net no later than February 6. A grant review panel will make the final decision on all grants based on a numerical point rating system.
