The Crowley Art Association would like to announce that Monday, May 25, will be the deadline to submit entryforms and fees for the 20th Annual Rice Capital Juried Art Competition.

Artwork should be brought to The Gallery on June 1 and 2, 2009.

All entries must be original artwork controlled by the artist only, absolutely no copies will be excepted.

This year’s event will consist of three categories including:

*Adult through high school aged

*Middle school students and

*Elementary aged children

The cost for each entry will be determined by category. With a maximum of five entries, adults are required to pay $15 per entry, and all students including high school, middle school and elementary children will be required to pay $2 per entry not to exceed five entries each.

There will be cash awards and ribbons presented in each division made possible through generous sponsors.

There will be a $200 cash award given to the overall winner of “Best of Show” in the fine arts and other media division.

All items will be judged and on display in The Gallery from June 6 - 26.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. A closing reception will be held on Friday, June 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The public is invited to come in and view the wonderful artwork of many local artist from Crowley and surrounding areas.
